ABOUT ME

Bonjour! My name is Jennifer. I am so happy that you are here!

I am a Canadian teacher who has been teaching French as a Second Language and French immersion classes since 2008. While I have taught every grade from kindergarten to grade 8, I have particularly enjoyed the challenge of teaching French to junior and intermediate-level students. 

Over the years, I often found it challenging to locate suitable materials to use in my classroom that appealed to students in grades 4-8. I wanted to honour their maturity, while still offering content at their ability levels. 

I founded The French Nook and began my passion as a Teacher-Author in 2018 and haven't looked back. It has been so rewarding to help and connect with other French Teachers. The focus of The French Nook is on creating quality, easy-to-use products that are appealing and engaging for junior and intermediate learners of French as a Second Language.

I am also a Mom, Wife and animal-lover. My family loves to travel and enjoy unique experiences. We also love to cook and learn about new foods. In my spare time, I enjoy skiing and reading.
