4 YouTube channels for junior French students

Bonjour! My students have always LOVED watching videos in French class. Though, it can be difficult to find videos that are appropriate for older beginner French students. In this quick post, I am sharing 4 YouTube channels that junior and intermediate  teachers might find useful. Enjoy!

  1. Learn French with Alexa - This channel offers a variety of lessons and activities for beginner to intermediate level French students.
  2. French with Mr Innes - Learn French online for beginners and kids with great pronunciation, progressive vocabulary and strong grammar, while discovering the culture of France. Fun French for kids and beginners! With lots of humour, this is the best form of French language lessons!
  3. Mini TFO - MiniTFO's award-winning programming offers a safe, interactive and fun-educational family universe that inspires the little citizens of tomorrow to learn. Though many videos are aimed at younger children, your older beginner French learners are sure to love episodes like “Le Vlogue de Newton.’
  4. The Fable Cottage - Provides a series of illustrated and animated folk tales in slow French.

If you like integrating technology in your FSL classroom and have access to tablets, be sure to read about my suggestions of 5 great apps to use in the French classroom.

If your students enjoy these, why not try French virtual field trips? They integrate all the fun of a field trip, right in your own classroom! Your students will learn about a specific location, answer questions and complete a response.
